Getting started on your new site!


Isin't it exciting, having your very own website in which millions of people from around the world can view? Imagine the increased sale you will get! Put your dreams on hold, first we need to get all the information together to get started on this fantasy of the future!

Layout

Knowing how you want your site layed out is very important from the beginning. It is a smart idea to make a matrix (Example) to show what pages you want and where on your site.

Information & Pictures

Information - This is the key to your site. What is the point of a website if there is no information? The more detailed, descriptive information you have the better. Have all your information in order, it is a good idea to send the information to me 1 file, if sending by emai or by cd or floppy via Postal mail, per HTML "page". Clearly label each file. Files can be sent in .doc format. If sending by printed material via Postal mail clearly label at the top of each page, what the following text is for. Additional charges will apply for information sent this way due to additional formatting.

Pictures - Pictures are a very important, if not the most important, part of your website. A good clear, high resolution picture is best to work with. Please label images clearly when sending. Pictures can be send by email, or postal mail. Image scanning is available at no extra charge. If sending images on cd, please send at the highest resolution available. Logo

If you currently have a logo, please send the the largest copy available.

Hosting

Once the design process is complete, we are going to need a place to upload your site to. You can choose to have your site at one of three places, your own domain (view pricing), hosting off of my site Example: yoursite.treatdesigns.com (view pricing), or a free server. If yuo plan on this route, and want to put up with unpleasant ads that slow your site down, I suggest Geocities as it is what I am most familiar with.
